Tom Boyd - Founder

Tom Boyd is a lifelong entrepreneur and industry disruptor who has created several successful companies including Fi-Shock Inc, Mark Electronics Incorporated, EDP Biotech Incorporated, BioPet VetLab Incorporated, I-shop incorporated and Lifetime Fencing. He is the author of multiple books. He is a Knoxville native and highly invested in the local community.

His vision of making the world better with a focus on goodness, conversation and joy is the foundation of Ancient Lore Village.

Daniel Levy - Director

Daniel Levy received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. After working in New York City and at Gensler in Baltimore, Levy worked for a design-build company for three years developing designs for the multi-family and senior living sectors. Upon licensure and registration, he started DKLEVY Architecture and Design with his wife Kendel Levy. Levy has worked on a variety of different scales – from 500,000 square-foot financial office build outs to product design patent drawings. He is passionate about exceeding client expectations and helping clients meet and realize their vision and goals.

Mike Ragsdale- Director

Mike Ragsdale is President of Tennessee Strategies, which provides consulting services to a diverse client base throughout the State of Tennessee. Prior to founding Tennessee Strategies, he had successful careers in business, public service, and education. Ragsdale served two terms as Knox County Mayor (from 2002 to 2010) leading a county of nearly 430,000 citizens with a budget of over $640 million.

For 16 years, Ragsdale served as Executive Vice President and Partner at Barber & McMurry Architects, Planners, and Consultants. He currently serves on several boards, including his role as Vice Chairman of the EDSouth Board of Directors, one of the country's largest student loan corporations. He holds a Master's in Education from Auburn University and a doctorate in education from the University of Tennessee.

Greg Hewitt

Greg Hewitt - Director

Greg Hewitt is an accomplished, globally-oriented and operationally diverse leader with a 30-plus year track record of driving customer success, revenue, market share growth and profitability within the financial services, consumer, retail, and industrial goods sectors. As Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual, Hewitt is known for connecting quickly and effectively with clients, employees, customers and other key stakeholders in a win/win fashion.

The former President of Balanced Growth Enterprises also provides mentoring and coaching that facilitates adoption, follow-through and concrete results in both measurable business metrics and skill level/competency of senior management. He serves on a number of boards and is committed to seeing Ancient Lore Village have a lasting positive impact on East Tennessee.

Denise Chapman Weston - Director

Denise Weston is a leading experience designer, inventor, retail developer. Creations with her trademark spin on story-rich play and her immersive technology can be found at major theme parks and family entertainment facilities around the world. Weston is the inventor of over 120 patents including MagiQuest and other award-winning theme-park related inventions.

As a trained psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical practice and research in play theory, her attraction designs come to life with a rare kind of authenticity. She is a “Playologist”: an expert in the science of play and engagement. Weston’s unique design capabilities are fed by a deep understanding of human behavior, and how it truly interplays with technology in live, social entertainment experience
